# How to Use the Item Multiplier

The **Item Multiplier** feature in **Digital Purchase Order (DPO)** allows you to apply two quantity values in one line item to calculate total units. It's ideal for cases like **rooms × nights**, **hours × days**, or bundled services, making it perfect for **accommodation bookings**, **time-based services**, or **package deals** that require more than a simple quantity-rate setup.

### How to Use the Item Multiplier

1. Go to **Settings → PO Settings**
2. Enable the checkbox ${color}[#0b5068](**“Enable Item Multiplier”**)

### Apply During P.O. Creation

1. Add an item to your purchase order
2. Enter the **base quantity** (e.g., 5 hotel rooms)
3. Enter the **multiplier** (e.g., 4 nights)
4. Enter the **rate per unit** (e.g., $150 per night)
5. DPO will automatically calculate:
`5 × 4 × $150 = $3,000`→ This value will be reflected in your total for the line item.
