Component Feature

The Component Feature lets you create custom fields for full purchase orders, such as job numbers, internal codes, or delivery methods. These fields help you standardize data, filter P.O.s, and include the info in previews and PDFs for better tracking and reporting.

How to Set Up Components

  1. Go to the Admin section
  2. Open the P.O. Components tab
  3. Create a Component Section → Click the “+” button to add a new section (e.g., Job Numbers)

  1. Use the pen icon to edit preferences and give your new section a Title and Description

  1. Click the pen icon to create and name a component for this section, optionally add a description and values, set PDF position and visibility, select the component type, and display the section in the P.O. preview.

PDF Placement (Optional)

If needed, component fields can be moved to:

  • Component Section
  • P.O. Head left
  • P.O. Head right
  • Hidden

Select a Field Type

Choose the field input type:

  • Checkbox
  • Radio buttons
  • Drop-Down
  • Date/Time
  • Date
  • Textfield-single line
  • Textarea-multiple lines

Use dropdowns for standardized options like job IDs or shipping providers.

Optional: Add values if needed

  1. Scroll to the Values section, click the plus icon (+), and enter the desired values (e.g., Job #1001, Job #1002).

Configure Displays & Behavior

Enable the following options as needed:

  • Required for each Purchase Order → Makes the component mandatory for all P.O.s
  • Visible? → Displays the component to users
  • Include in P.O. preview → Shows the component in the purchase order preview
  • Show as filter list → Allows users to filter P.O.s based on this component

Using Components in a Purchase Order

  1. When creating a P.O., go to Tab 2 to fill in component fields
  2. Finalized P.O.s will display component data:
  • In the PDF output
  • In the View preview (if configured)

Display in the P.O.

Once a P.O. is created, all used components can be viewed in the P.O. and—depending on the settings—in the PDF as well.

PDF Display

During batch printing, all applied components are displayed in the PDF according to their configured settings.
